The growing monkey menace in the city and its other areas has disrupted the routine life of people in different areas.
People in areas where the population of macaques has grown are complaining that it has become difficult for them to move out of their homes without being confronted by the simians that also tend to behave aggressively and at times attack the humans.
However, as usual, the forest officials have turned a deaf ear to the repeated complaints of the residents about the monkey menace.
According to sources, soaring temperature and scarcity of water in the jungles have forced these animals to move into the human habitats. Even as the pack of monkeys continues to attack the fields and feed on vegetables and fruits, the locals are left to deal with them in their own ways.
A local said that the monkeys have started creating problem for the residents. They take away the cloths and destroy other eatables kept outside.
