Do not make sacrifice of animals banned by law: Sanjay Kumar

Jamshedpur: The special officer of Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) Sanjay Kumar conducted a patrolling of various localities in Mango with the local police officials.

The patrolling continued from early morning till noon. He took stock of civic amenities in the localities and sought updates about cleanliness and availability of light and drinking water at religious places.

He also advised the residents not to sacrifice banned animals.
Kumar said the district administration was keeping an eye on the stocking, transportation and sale-purchase of animals in contravention of the existing laws.

He said an intensive public awareness campaign was run by the district administration with the help of police, peace committee members and several Masjid committees asking people to not make sacrifices of animals banned by law. He said he hoped the people would extend cooperation to the district administration.

Meanwhile, the special officer of MNAC inquired about certain animals reportedly kept in a house in Jawaharnagar. He said he had got a tip-off about several animals being present in a house locked from outside. He talked to the house owner about the animals and the purpose of keeping them in the house.

Kumar said the MNAC would ensure cleanliness around mosques and other religious places. He was accompanied by Inspector of Police Arun Kumar Mahatha, SI Sudhir Kumar Singh, SI Shambhu Nath Singh, SI Ashok Kumar Singh, ASI Jawahar Lal, ASI Pawan Kumar Gupta and other officials.
