Jamshedpur, Sep. 1: The Association of British Scholars (ABS), Jamshedpur Chapter organised the ABS Inter School debate at the Centre for Excellence Auditorium. Students from 20 city schools participated in the debate.
The topic of the debate was “Technology is invading our freedom to think”.
The House voted against the motion.
Carmel Junior College was declared the Winner of the ABS Trophy. The best speaker for the motion was Divya Vardayini and best speaker against the motion was Debarita Rakshit. Both the students were from Carmel Junior College.
Shubham Tiwary of Hill Top School and G S Vishnu of Little Flower School (LFS) were declared the runners up.
The judges for the contest were Gautum Mukherjee, Dr Sujata Mitra and Poornima Radhakrishnan. Educationalist Lalita Sareen was the moderator of the debate.
