Jamshedpur, August 11: A Mini India Memorial is set to be constructed in Telco where the social, cultural, literary, religious, and mythological features of various Indian states will be represented. To identify a suitable location, Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, accompanied by Tata Motors officials, conducted a site inspection. The strip near Ma Bhuvaneshwari Mandir and Valley View School in Kharangajhar was identified as an ideal spot for the project.

The memorial will be constructed with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, ensuring that no structure adversely impacts the surroundings.

Saryu Roy shared that the plan included inviting all Indian states to contribute by showcasing their unique cultural and regional specialties at the memorial. Experts from the Ministry of Environment, as well as litterateurs and artists, would be involved in the development of the site.

It was also decided that a meeting would be held on August 31 or September 1 with representatives from all states residing in Jamshedpur. Key representatives from major industries and institutions in the city will also be invited to participate in the planning.

This initiative aligned with Jamshedpur’s reputation as a miniature India, where residents from every Indian province lived and maintained their cultural traditions. The city is known for its year-round celebrations of various provincial and linguistic events.

The site inspection team comprised Swarnarekha Area Development Trust Trustee Ashok Goyal, MLA’s personal secretary Sudhir Singh, Amit Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Indrajit Singh, Mahesh Tiwari, Golden Pandey, Durga Rao, and senior Tata Motors officials.
