NTA Denies NEET-UG Re-Test Leak, Warns Scammers of Action

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday advised NEET-UG 2026, re-examination aspirants to ignore social media rumours regarding a fresh question paper “leak” ahead of the June 21 test, reaffirming its commitment to a fair, secure, and credible exam.

The agency assured stakeholders that it maintains full integrity over the examination process and has deployed every safeguard to protect candidates.

In a statement posted on its official ‘X’ account, the NTA flagged fraudulent messages circulating on messaging platforms that claim advance access or “sale” of the upcoming re-examination paper.

“These claims are false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead,” the NTA stated. “Organized cheating rackets create this content to prey on the anxiety of students and their families. They aim to extort money by selling fake ‘papers,’ and every circulating claim is a complete fabrication.”

The testing agency is tracking down the offending channels and accounts, reporting them to social media platforms and cybercrime authorities for immediate takedown. The NTA is also filing formal criminal complaints with law enforcement.

The agency warned that creating, circulating, or forwarding fraudulent content constitutes a serious punishable offense, promising strict action against racketeers. It urged parents and candidates to never engage with, pay, or forward these scam messages. Instead, stakeholders should rely strictly on official updates from the verified NTA website.

The NTA will conduct the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, following its decision to cancel the original May 12 exam over paper leak allegations. The agency expects to release candidate admit cards by June 14.
