Jamshedpur, August 11: The Chairman of the Jharkhand Gau Raksha Samiti (JGRS), Rajiv Ranjan Singh, along with Vice President Raju Giri, conducted an inspection of the Jugsalai Gaushala in response to the recent incident where three cows died following a wall collapse on August 6. The inspection revealed significant irregularities at the Tatanagar Gaushala, prompting the Chairman to sternly reprimand the management and demand an explanation within 7 days.

The inspection revealed that the ongoing construction work at the Tatanagar Gaushala had led to the death of three pregnant cows and serious injury to another when a section of the cowshed roof collapsed into a pit. The Chairman expressed deep concern over the Gaushala Committee’s negligence, noting that safety standards had been disregarded and rules flouted during construction.

Chairman Rajiv Ranjan Singh rejected the management’s attempts to welcome the commission, emphasizing that the committee’s actions were irresponsible and that they had misled the commission. He warned that if the committee’s response to the notice was unsatisfactory, strict action would be taken.

During the visit, locals accused the Chairman and Vice President of dishonesty, leading to the meeting being cut short. The Chairman reiterated that the Gaushala was being run in a negligent manner, with business interests prioritized over cow protection. A 7-day ultimatum was issued, after which further action would be taken based on the investigation report. Singh highlighted that the construction was unauthorized and accused the management of deceitful practices. The commission would proceed with appropriate measures after reviewing the investigation findings.
