Matric and Inter exams begins in Jamshedpur today, 47,636 students to appear  

Jamshedpur: The stage is all set for the Jharkhand Academic Council’s Matric (10th Board) and Intermediate (12th Board) examinations, scheduled to commence on Tuesday and continue until March 3, 2025. A total of 47,636 students from the district are set to appear for these crucial exams across multiple centres.

Out of the total candidates, 25,380 students will be appearing for the Matriculation (Class 10) exams, while 22,256 students will take the Intermediate (Class 12) exams. The Intermediate category includes 13,595 students from the Arts stream, 4,697 from Science, and 3,964 from Commerce. The 10th board exams will be conducted at 71 centres, whereas the 12th board exams will be held across 35 centres in the district.

To ensure a smooth and malpractice-free examination process, the district administration has taken extensive precautionary measures.

To prevent unfair practices and ensure the integrity of the exams, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rishabh Garg has announced that static and patrolling magistrates along with police officers will be deployed across all exam centres. Surprise inspections will be carried out at various locations, and any student caught engaging in malpractice will face strict legal action.

Additionally, Section 144 will be enforced within a 100-metre radius of all examination centres to prevent the gathering of unauthorized individuals. Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited, and candidates must report at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time.

The Matriculation (10th board) exams will take place in the first shift from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM, while the Intermediate (12th board) exams for Arts, Science, and Commerce streams will be held in the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.

Among the 71 identified Matriculation exam centres, 26 are located in the Ghatsila subdivision and 45 in the Dhalbhum subdivision. Meanwhile, the 35 Intermediate exam centres comprise 12 in Ghatsila and 23 in Dhalbhum.

With all preparations completed, authorities have assured students and parents of a well-managed examination process, with no scope for unfair practices or security lapses. Students are advised to adhere to the rules, arrive on time, and focus on their exams without any distractions.
