Jamshedpur: Former CM Jharkhand Vikas Morcha ( JVM) leader Babulal Marandi today said the party had no plans to ally with the Bhartiya Janta Party or even regional parties and planned to contest all 14 Parliamentary seats alone in the 2014 elections.

After 2003, whether it is BJP, Congress, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), RJD all parties have only cheated the people of Jharkhand and we will not ally with them, said the JVM (P) leader, while talking to the media after his arrival in Jamshedpur.

He further went on to add that regional parties in country’s political scenario have taken a front seat because national parties have failed to live up the expectation of expectations of people.

I am of the opinion that the national parties, including Congress and BJP, have failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people. This is the reason why the people are looking up to the regional parties for new aspirations,” the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) supremo said.

He said that the party is eyeing to contest on all the 81 seats of the State. Though we had alliance with the Congress in last Assembly polls but as of now we have plans to contest on all the seats of the State in next polls, he claimed.

He expected that the next Lok Sabha election will show the hold of regional parties on the States politics.
Marandi – who was Jharkhands first Chief Minister under a NDA led Govt. in 2000 – had floated the regional party in 2006 after he left the BJP over differences with Munda being made Chief Minister replacing him in 2003. The party holds two Lok Sabha seats at present from Koderma and Jamshedpur, BJP holds seven. JMM has two seats at present, Congress holds one, with the remaining two being Independents.

Talking about partys vision in the State he said We have improved lot from what we were in the initial phase of the campaigning and it shouldnt surprise if we form the next Government in the State.

Development work has come to a standstill. Though the Kolhan division has given two Chief Ministers ( Arjun Munda and Madhu Koda) but still the conditions of the roads are pathetic. People of the State will not forgive if efforts are not made sincerely for their welfare.

If we come to power we promise to solve all the issues concerning common people in three months time, said Marandi confidently.
