Jamshedpur, Feb 28: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) has issued a water supply helpline number (6203884203) for the residents of Mango.
Sources said Assistant Engineer Santosh Kumar has been appointed as the nodal officer for water supply in Mango. His mobile number and WhatsApp number has been made public to ensure that the citizens may get respite from water scarcity in the summers.
MMC Executive Officer said he had ordered repair of all defunct hand-pumps in Mango within a week. Additional water tankers are being kept in stock to ensure uninterrupted water supply to Mango residents, he said. Meanwhile, senior officials of Urban Development and Housing Department, Government of Jharkhand, held a meeting through video conferencing and reviewed the preparations being made by the MMC to counter the water scarcity problem during the summer season this year. MMC would provide water connection to local residents as per requirement, sources said.
