Gamharia: A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after his bike crashed into a trailer parked along the roadside near the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) office on the Tata-Kandra Main Road under the Adityapur Police Station area late on Saturday night.
Police identified the deceased as Rohit Kumar Pathak. According to reports, Rohit was riding towards Gamharia when his speeding motorcycle rammed into a breakdown trailer stationed on the roadside near the BSNL office.
Eyewitnesses said the collision was severe and left the motorcycle badly mangled. The impact threw Rohit onto the road and critically injured him. He reportedly remained unattended for some time, which worsened his condition.
After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted Rohit to a nearby hospital. Doctors examined him and declared him brought dead.
The accident has left Rohit’s family devastated. Police seized the damaged motorcycle and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Officers have started an investigation into the incident.
