Major accident averted in Jamshedpur as speeding trailer crashes into divider

Jamshedpur, Oct 24:  A major accident was  avoided on Friday morning on the main Golmuri-Sakchi road in the Golmuri police station area.

Around 5 am, a loaded trailer lost control near NML Quarters and mounted the divider in the middle of the road. Fortunately, traffic was minimal at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Eyewitnesses said the trailer was speeding towards Sakchi when the driver lost control, causing the heavy vehicle to ride up the divider.

Locals rushed to the scene immediately, creating a momentary commotion, though no one was harmed.

Golmuri police quickly reached the spot after being informed.

To prevent a traffic jam, authorities called in a crane and removed the trailer from the divider.

After some effort, the road was cleared and normal traffic resumed.

The Golmuri police in-charge stated that both the driver and the trailer owner are being questioned.

Initial reports suggest over-speeding and negligence as possible causes.

The vehicle has been seized, and an investigation is underway.
