Jamshedpur, Oct 24: A burglary took place in Palasbani under the MGM police station area, where thieves broke into a house and stole cash along with several valuable items.
The incident reportedly occurred around midnight on October 21, though the complaint was filed with the police nearly two days later.
The complainant, Jayanti Hembram, informed the police in her written statement that she owns two houses—one in Ghatsila’s Barajudi area and another in Palasbani.
At the time of the burglary, she was not present at her Palasbani residence.
According to reports, unidentified intruders broke the lock to gain entry and stole cash and other important belongings.
On learning about the incident, Jayanti Hembram approached the police to file a complaint.
While the delay in reporting posed some initial challenges in the investigation, the police promptly visited the scene and began inquiries.
Taking the matter seriously, the police have questioned neighbors and are trying to gather potential leads.
A case has been registered against the unknown culprits, and efforts are underway to identify them using CCTV footage and local intelligence.
The incident has left the local community both alarmed and frustrated.
