Two-day ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition held at KPS Gamharia

Gamharia, July 6: Kerala Public School (KPS), Gamharia, hosted a two-day ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition, attracting participation from 24 schools across sub-junior, junior, and senior classes. The competition was jointly inaugurated by Father E. A. Francis S. J., Principal of Xavier School, and Lakshmi Sharad Chandran, Academic Director of Kerala Public School Gamharia, along with Principal Rashmi Sinha.

The competition, anchored by Vinod Menon, saw enthusiastic participation from students aiming to showcase their knowledge and skills. Addressing the participants, Father E. A. Francis S. J. emphasized the importance of continuous effort and wished the students success in their academic pursuits. He highlighted the significance of such events in nurturing and developing talents among children.

The competition spanned two days, with sub-junior groups competing on the first day and junior and senior groups on the subsequent day. In the senior category, Loyola School Jamshedpur emerged as the winner with 91 points, followed by RVS Academy as the runner-up with 88 points, and Sacred Heart Convent School securing third place with 69 points. In the junior category, DBMS team clinched the top position, with KPS Kadma and KSMS Jamshedpur securing the second and third places, respectively. Kerala Public School Gamharia triumphed in the sub-junior category, followed by Loyola School as the runner-up and Hill Top School securing the third position.

The closing ceremony, graced by retired Tata Steel officer Shantanu Chakraborty as the chief guest, featured an awards presentation to all winning teams and a colorful program presented by the children. Principal Rashmi Sinha delivered the welcome speech, while Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all teachers towards the success of the event.
