Jamshedpur: Today, the seventh day of Bhagwat Katha organized by Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City, Surabhi branch at Agrasen Bhawan in Sakchi, saw the elucidation of Sudama Charitra, Parikshit Moksh and Sri Sukdev Vidai by Acharya Rajendra Maharaj from Vrindavan. While explaining these episodes, the Acharya said, Gods Divine Light was cast on the Bhagwat making it the best scripture. Life is meaningless without spirituality. Lord Krishna took just two fistful of rice from His friend Sudama and blessed him with the bounties of both worlds. Sudamas life is a reflection of mans fluctuating fortunes and how he tackles success and failure.

The soft spoken yet highly impressive narrative flair of the Acharya held the attention of the large number of devotees in attendance every day. In his smooth but emphatic tone, Acharya Rajendra Maharaj explained 16,108 marriages of Lord Krishna that denoted His presence everywhere and in every heart.

The credence of a Guru was detailed by the Acharya when he gave the example Duttatreya Maharaj. Duttatreya Maharaj made 24 Gurus in 24 hours. Gurus who teach and preach may be many but the one who initiates Bhakti is the single Guru. A Guru creates a bond between man and God. Without knowledge the world is incomplete. Water is colourless but takes on the colour of that with which it is blended. Our lives too should be as clean as water. When you have accepted a Guru in whom you have taken shelter, your life, like water, will take on the colour of the Gurus directives for leading a life of spirituality and devotion.

Todays Katha program also saw women members, as a part of cleanliness drive, distribute dustbins with the message that household waste should not be strewn on the streets but collected in these bins and disposed in vats provided in every residential area.

Today the hosts were Raj Kumar Dodrajka, Ashok Kumar Agrawal, Sushil Bansal, Naresh Agrawal and Nand Kishore Sanghi.

On Sunday, May 5, the Bhagwat Katha will conclude with Hawan Purnahuti. Consecrated food will be distributed among devotees from 12:30 pm.

The Surabhi team of organizers comprised branch president Parul Chetani, secretary Nisha Singhal, Pinki Ringasia, Kavita Agrawal, Priti Jhajharia, Rekha Sawa, Chanda Chowdhary, Priti Kauntia, Saroj Bansal, Rekha Agrawal, Ritika Puria, Dipa Jain, Mamata Agrawal, Priti Budhia and Neha Sonthalia.
