350 Players Expected, Preparations Reviewed in Meeting
Jamshedpur, May 6: J.H. Tarapore School, Dhatkidih, will host the 7th CISCE Zonal Chess Tournament 2026 from June 24 to June 25. Preparations for the event were reviewed during a meeting held at the school campus with sports teachers from across the city.
Sports teachers from around 30 schools participated in the meeting and discussed arrangements for the upcoming tournament. Approximately 350 players are expected to take part in the competition in both boys’ and girls’ categories.
The tournament will feature six categories, with separate events for boys and girls in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age groups.
Vice-Principal and Organizing Chairperson Ruksgana H. Gardin, Tournament Organizing Secretary V. Arun Kumar, Technical Director and International Arbiter Chandan Kumar Prasad, and Chief Arbiter Jayant Kumar Bhuyan were present at the meeting and reviewed the preparations.
