Leveling of Swarnarekha Aarati Ghat begins

Jamshedpur, Jan 19: The work of leveling of the embankment area of River Swarnarekha began here on Thursday. The leveling is being done to construct Swarnarekha Aarati Mandap following an announcement by the state Health Minister Banna Gupta.

Sources said Gupta is monitoring the Aarati Mandap project. Dhananjay Mishra, General Manager of Tata Steel UISL, was present during the leveling work.

As per the Health Minister, “A number of civic amenities would be provided to the people of Jamshedpur. Under the plan, Aarati Mandap Ghat, Chhath Ghat, sitting places, walking paths, toilets, Mundan Mandap and bathrooms would come up at the riverbank. Power suppl would be given to the Aarati Mandap. Separate space would be provided for Havan Kund and waste diposal. An administrative building would also be constructed. Rooms for priests wold also be built. Besides, many other plans would be implemented.”

The officials of Swarnarekha Multi-purpose Project and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) were also present during the leveling work.
