Jamshedpur, Jan 19: The relatives of former BJP leader late Suraj Kumar met Jharkhand DGP Neeraj Sinha on Thursday and demanded reinvestigation into the murder of his son.
Suraj’s father Vijay Kumar Singh shared the details of Suraj murder case with the DGP and alleged that Bagbera police were not taking the case seriously. He said the police had not carried out proper investigation in the case and failed to nab the prime conspirator. The main witnesses of the case have not been produced in the court either, he told the DGP.
Suraj was brutally murdered with sharp weapons in Bagbera 7th December 2021. He was admitted to Tata Main Hospital where he breathed his last on 9th January. Police have arrested Sonu Singh, Golu Sharma, Rajnish Singh and Ankur Bhagat in this case.
Vijay Singh accused the officer-in-charge of Bagbera police station of complicity with the conspirators of the murder case. He said the investigation officer was also not fair in his work. The DGP sought details of the case from the SSP of Jamshedpur Prabhat Kumar over phone and directed him to meet Vijay Singh on 22nd January.
