KPS Kadma hosts ‘Ethikos’, Little Flower School Jamshedpur emerges as winner

Jamshedpur, August 17: Kerala Public School Kadma hosted its fifth annual inter-school fest, Ethikos, at the Swapan Auditorium on August 17. The event, which began at 7:30 AM, saw participation from 16 schools across Jamshedpur, with a total of 377 students from Std IX to XII.

The fest was graced by notable dignitaries, including Chief Guest Shalini Sulakshana, who manages Business Ethics Deployment at Tata Steel, Sharat Chandran, Director of Kerala Public Schools, and several others, including the school’s Principal Sharmila Mukherjee and Headmistress  Alamelu Ravishankar.

Ethikos 2024 aimed to instil a sense of ethics and moral values among students through a series of engaging competitions centred around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event featured ten diverse competitions, including salsa and robotic dance, Sufi song, ramp walk with a futuristic fashion theme, and various literary and online events.

The fest opened with a prayer song and the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, setting a solemn tone. Sharmila Mukherjee welcomed the participants, highlighting the event’s role in fostering overall growth. Director Sharat Chandran inspired students to uphold ethical behaviour and strong character for future success.

Little Flower School emerged as the winner of Ethikos 2024, with Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya as the first runner-up and Kerala Public School Gamharia as the second runner-up. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Senior School Coordinator T. Veena and the national anthem.
