Sacred Heart Convent School Jamshedpur honours academic achievers at Annual Prize Nite 2026

Board Toppers and Outstanding Students Felicitated

Jamshedpur, June 25: Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated academic excellence, leadership, and student talent during its Annual Prize Nite 2026 held on Thursday evening. The grand event brought together students, parents, teachers, and distinguished guests to recognize the achievements of students across academics and co-curricular activities.

The programme was attended by Rev. Father Vernon D’Souza, Principal of St. Mary’s School, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. School Principal Sister M. Steffi AC welcomed the gathering and congratulated the award winners.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the spread of knowledge and wisdom. A prayer song presented by the school choir added a spiritual touch and set a positive tone for the evening.

The highlight of the programme was the prize distribution ceremony, where students were honoured for their outstanding achievements during the academic year. Special recognition was given to the school’s board examination toppers for their exceptional performances.

Shambhavi Tewari Receives Standing Ovation

A major attraction of the evening was the felicitation of Shambhavi Tewari, who created history by becoming the National Topper in the ISC Class XII examination with a perfect score of 100 percent. Her remarkable achievement earned her a standing ovation from the audience.

Pragya Singh was also applauded for securing 99 percent in the ICSE Class X examination. She received the Ram Awtar Chachra Memorial Trophy for obtaining the highest marks in ICSE.

Among the ISC award winners, Sneha Dutta secured the Chandrashekar Trophy for achieving the highest percentage in the Arts stream with 98.25 percent, while Bhumika Sharma received the Sampuran Singh Trophy for topping the Commerce stream with 96.5 percent. In the Science stream, Shambhavi Tewari won the Leo Pereira Trophy and the Indira Patnaik Memorial Trophy for securing the highest overall percentage in ISC. Taniya Sana Runda was recognized for her outstanding performance in Pure Science with 96.25 percent.

The programme also showcased the artistic talents of students through a series of cultural presentations. Primary school students captivated the audience with a dance performance and a choral recitation highlighting the resilience and contributions of women farmers.

The school choir presented an inspiring motivational song, followed by a soulful rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World,” carrying a message of peace, harmony, and global unity.

Several special awards were presented to students for their all-round achievements and leadership qualities. Divyanshi Kumari received the Best Carmel Girl Award, while Anaya Tiwari and Fiya Singh were honoured with the Best Outstanding Primary Student Award.

In the middle school category, Priyanshi Mandal received the Ubaldo Gomes Memorial Trophy for being the All-Rounder of the year. Arushi Das was presented the Leadership Award for Class VI, instituted in memory of Asha Lata Sinha.

Addressing the gathering, Sister M. Steffi AC congratulated the award winners and appreciated the efforts of students, teachers, and parents. She emphasized that education is not only about academic success but also about character building, compassion, and service to society. The memorable evening concluded with the singing of the School Anthem and the National Anthem, leaving participants with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
