Jharkhand CM announces Rs 1.29 Cr to family members of murdered havildar Chauhan Hembrom

Ranchi, August 17: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren met the family members of murdered police havildar Chauhan Hembrom who was killed by a convict at prisoner’s ward in a Hazaribagh medical college and hospital.

The family members of deceased havildar Chauhan Hembram of Hazaribagh District Force met Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren on Saturday at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office at Kanke Road Ranchi.

The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to deceased wife Jomoti Devi, son Mahesh Hembram and daughter Swati Hembram and other family members.

Hemant Soren assured the family members Chauhan Hembram that they will get justice in every situation.

The Chief Minister told the family members that the state government has given strict instructions to senior police officers including DGP to arrest the culprit as soon as possible and get the harshest punishment so that such incident does not recur in future.

While consoling the family members the Chief Minister said that the state government is always standing with them in this hour of grief. The Chief Minister assured the family of all possible help from the state government.

Chief Minister announced to give a government job to a member of the family of Havildar. The Chief Minister told the family members that soon all the procedures for appointment in class 3 or 4 on compassionate grounds will be completed, instructions have been given to the officers for this purpose.

After the death of Havildar Late Chauhan Hembram of Hazaribagh District Force during duty, the state government will provide about Rs 1.29 crore to his dependent family members.

Notably, Chauhan Hembram, a resident of village Pindatad, police station Taratand, Giridih district, who was working as a Havildar in Hazaribagh District Force, was brutally murdered by a criminal on 12th August 2024 while on duty.
