Jamshedpur, Nov 6: Following the direction of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) conducted a comprehensive survey to identify and count stray cattle—particularly bulls—roaming across various parts of the city.

The objective of the survey is to curb the inconvenience caused by stray animals on city roads and to ensure smooth traffic movement.
During the field inspection, the survey team recorded the following numbers of stray bulls in different localities:

Total stray bulls identified: 80

The survey was carried out with the participation of Dr. Sagar Hansda (Veterinary Officer), revenue inspectors, and sanitation supervisors from the respective areas.
Based on the report, the concerned contractor has been instructed to safely capture the stray animals from identified locations and relocate them to the animal shelter.
Additionally, the process of issuing notices to the owners of these cattle has begun.
Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated that this is a continuous campaign aimed at controlling the stray animal problem in the city to ensure convenience for citizens and maintain smooth vehicular movement on the roads. ( w / pm )
