Jamshedpur, November 6: XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, continued its legacy of nurturing education with ethics and empathy through two major community initiatives — Reflections 2025 organized by Samarthya – The Human Potential Centre of XLRI, and Daan Utsav 2025 led by Team SIGMA-oikos.

Reflections 2025: “AI Pathshaala”
Held on November 2 at the XLRI campus, Reflections 2025 marked its first on-campus edition with the theme “AI Pathshaala.” The event brought together over 220 students from seven leading Jamshedpur schools, including Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Ramakrishna Mission School (Bistupur), and JUSCO Kadma School.
The program began with an engaging talk by Dr. Harshit Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor of Information Systems, who spoke on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in education. The highlight was an inter-school storytelling competition where students integrated AI into their narratives. Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Ramakrishna Mission School, and JUSCO Kadma won the top three positions. The event encouraged students to think critically about the responsible use of technology while fostering creativity and moral awareness.

Daan Utsav 2025: The Joy of Giving Week
Held from October 24–31, Daan Utsav 2025 celebrated generosity and compassion through impactful social initiatives. The event raised over ₹2.1 lakh via the Wish Tree Initiative, collected more than 30,500 clothes from 14 schools, and supported NGOs such as Utthaan, People for Change, and ALIG. Additional programs included menstrual awareness drives, digital literacy workshops, and visits to old-age homes.
The closing ceremony, attended by IFS officer Smt. Smitha Pankaj and XLRI Deans Fr. Donald D’Silva and Dr. Sanjay Patro, highlighted the institute’s spirit of service. Fr. Donald remarked, “True leadership lies in service,” while Smt. Pankaj encouraged students to continue giving back to society and plant trees as symbols of lasting change.
