Jamshedpur: On the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) conducted a special enforcement campaign today focusing on illegal parking, shopfront cleanliness and overall traffic management in key urban zones. The campaign specifically targeted Sakchi Circle near the Eye Hospital and the SNP area, where unauthorized halting of e-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws has been causing persistent traffic congestion. During the operation, several vehicles parked in no-parking zones were removed and fines totalling Rs 30,000 were imposed. Auto drivers were directed to pick up passengers only from designated stands. Shopkeepers were instructed to place dustbins in front of their shops, refrain from encroaching on footpaths and maintain hygiene standards around their business premises. The enforcement team included Revenue Officer Chandra Gupt Ashok Vardhan, City Manager Jyoti Punj and Revenue Inspector Prakash Toppo. Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated that maintaining cleanliness and ensuring traffic flow in sensitive areas like Sakchi remains a top priority and that regular inspections and strict actions against violations would continue.
