JNAC achieves trade licence target in 4 months

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has collected Rs 52 lakh as trade tax in the first four months of the current financial year. A target of Rs 50 lakh was given to JNAC for the current fiscal. According to Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer, JNAC, If we continue with this rate, we will be able to collect up to Rs 2 crore by issuing and renewing trade licences at the end of this fiscal year. This has been made possible through awareness camps among city taders, active role of flying squads of JNAC, cooperation of Chamber of Commerce and stringent measures taken by us against those carrying on business without trade licence.
