Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is all set to hold its 13th Mahadhiveshan on April 14 and 15 at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi, marking a crucial milestone in the party’s over 50-year-old history. Party insiders termed this Mahadhiveshan the most significant organizational gathering to date, with the potential to shape the political and organizational future of the JMM.
With the top leadership poised for key announcements, the event was expected to focus on redefining political strategies, expansion beyond Jharkhand, and reinforcement of internal party structure.
A draft has been prepared by the sub-committee, and an open discussion is expected on the proposed changes in the party’s constitution.
A major decision may be taken to elevate Kalpana Soren to a prominent position within the party, signalling a generational shift in leadership.
The party may propose a law aimed at returning tribal lands to their original owners, reinforcing its pro-tribal stance.
The JMM is likely to pass a resolution opposing the proposed changes in the Waqf law.
