Body of missing youth found on Sidhgora river bank

Jamshedpur: Panic gripped the Bagunnagar area under Sidgora police station on Friday after the body of a 24-year-old youth, Suraj Lal, was discovered on the banks of the river. Suraj, a resident of Road No. 5 in Bagunnagar, had gone missing after leaving his home on the evening of April 9, informing his family that he was going out to consume alcohol. He never returned.

On Friday morning, local residents spotted his body stuck between rocks amid water hyacinth near the road leading to Baliguma, across the river. They immediately informed the police.

Sidgora police reached the spot and, with the help of locals, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. As of now, the family has not filed any formal complaint with the police. Authorities have begun investigating the case and are examining all possible angles surrounding the death.
