Jamshedpur, April 22: A woman sustained critical injuries in a road accident near Zudio on Marine Drive under Sonari police station area on Wednesday.
According to eyewitnesses, an Innova car was reversing near the showroom when a speeding Hyundai vehicle coming from Sakchi rammed into it. The impact was severe, leaving a woman identified as Santoshi trapped inside the Hyundai car.
A large crowd gathered at the spot, but panic prevented immediate rescue. Demonstrating courage, locals identified as Haji Saddam, Danish, Raja, and their associates broke open the car door and rescued the injured woman.
She was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) with the help of local residents, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors have described her condition as critical.
The incident once again highlights the urgent need for road safety awareness and caution while driving.
