Relief from Cold: Temperatures in Jharkhand to Rise by 4 Degrees Until February 8

Ranchi: Residents of the capital city, Ranchi, and its surrounding districts are expected to get relief from the biting cold as temperatures are set to rise. According to the forecast released by the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature across the state is likely to increase by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius by February 8, leading to a noticeable decrease in the chill.

While the weather is expected to remain largely dry, some areas may experience fog or partially cloudy skies. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand stated that this fluctuation in temperature will continue for the time being and advised citizens to remain cautious due to these frequent weather changes.

Recent Weather Snapshot

Over the past 24 hours, the weather remained dry across Jharkhand, with light to moderate fog observed in isolated pockets. Chaibasa recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature at 29.8°C, while Gumla remained the coldest with a minimum temperature of 8.1°C. In Ranchi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 25.8°C and the minimum at 11.6°C.

Upcoming Forecast

The Meteorological Department predicts a steady rise in the minimum temperature on February 2, 3, 4, and 5. Following this, from February 6 to 8, no major changes are expected, maintaining the warmer trend.
