Jamshedpur: DBMS Career Academy recently organized a spiritual program featuring the recitation and explanation of the Bhagavad Gita’s Chapter 12 (Bhakti Yoga) and Chapter 15 (Purushottam Yoga). The event aimed to foster the holistic development of both students and teachers.
The spiritual session was conducted by dedicated volunteers from Chinmaya School, South Park. The Gita recitation was led by faculty members Baby Prasad, Mani Pandey, Pankaj Sahay, and Neelkanth Modi.
During the program, students were not only guided in the rhythmic chanting of the verses but were also provided with a concise and simple summary of the teachings. This was intended to help them internalize the timeless messages of the Gita, including devotion, duty, self-knowledge, and maintaining balance in life. The atmosphere remained serene and disciplined as students and teachers participated with full devotion.
The event was held under the overall guidance and patronage of Ms. Geeta Mohandas, Chairperson of DBMS Career Academy, and Mr. B. Surendra Nath, Chairperson of Chinmayanand School, South Park. Notably, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinmaya Mission, which was founded by Swami Chinmayanandji to bring Indian Vedanta and spiritual values to society and the younger generation.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers, the school management noted that such value-based spiritual programs play a vital role in character building and mental balance for students. Principal Mrs. Soma Banerjee added that the school will continue to encourage the moral and spiritual development of its students through such initiatives in the future.
