President to attend Bhoomi Pujan and medical college event

Jamshedpur, Feb 25: The steel city is set to witness an unprecedented security arrangement as President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Jamshedpur tomorrow for a series of high-profile engagements.
The district administration has divided the city into five zones and 14 sectors, enforcing sweeping traffic restrictions and deploying thousands of security personnel to ensure a smooth and secure visit.

President’s Itinerary
The President will reach Ranchi from Nagpur aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft and proceed to Jamshedpur by an MI-17 helicopter, landing at Sonari Airport at 12 noon.
She will attend the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the proposed Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Centre at Kadma Marine Drive, followed by a programme at Manipal Tata Medical College in Baridih.
After concluding her engagements, she will return to Ranchi and subsequently depart for Jaisalmer.

High-Profile Dignitaries to Attend
The ceremonies will be attended by Governor Santosh Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Also present on the dais will be Singhbhum MP Joba Majhi, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, MLAs Saryu Roy and Purnima Sahu, and Tata Steel MD & CEO T. V. Narendran.

Rs 100-Crore Spiritual and Cultural Centre
The proposed Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Centre will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore.
Trust chief S.K. Behera said that the centre will mark a historic spiritual and cultural transformation for Jamshedpur and promote religious tourism in Jharkhand, while also serving as a platform for youth character-building.
A grand ‘bhog’ (prasad) arrangement has been made for devotees following the ceremony.

Unprecedented Security Deployment
Security arrangements are being overseen by six IPS officers, with nearly 4,000 police personnel and 125 magistrates deployed across the city.
The President’s convoy security has been entrusted to Rural SP Rishabh Garg. Intelligence officials will accompany the motorcade, which will comprise 26 vehicles.
In addition, NSG squads and STF teams have been stationed along the entire route.
The President is expected to remain in the city for nearly four hours.
A full-scale mock drill was conducted a day earlier, covering the route from Sonari Airport to Kadma, onward to the medical college, and back.

Major Traffic Diversions and Restrictions
The visit has prompted significant changes to the city’s traffic arrangements:
* Bus services from Jai Prakash Narayan Bus Terminal, Bhuiyandih, will remain suspended from 11 am to 4.30 pm.
* Long-distance buses will operate from Dimna Chowk and Pardih Chowk.
* Buses bound for Odisha and Chaibasa will depart from Tatanagar Railway Station and Bistupur.
* Heavy and four-wheeler goods vehicles will remain barred from entering the city from 6 am to 11 pm.
Traffic on Jai Prakash Setu (Mango) and Dobo Bridge will be halted 30 minutes before the President’s convoy passes.
From 9 am to 7 pm, entry of heavy vehicles into the city will remain completely prohibited. Moreover , No Fly zone has been declared over Jamshedpur from tomorrow morning to evening
