Jamshedpur, Mar 7: Jharkhand Tribal Entrepreneur Association general secretary Ellen Lakra has said that there is a need for a document policy in the state so that tribal entrepreneurs get their due benefits and get 70 per cent rights in the tender process of big companies like Tata Steel and other.
Addressing media at a bungalow in Circuit House on Sunday, Ellen Lakra said that the association has been formed with an intent to promote and give legitimate rights for tribal entrepreneurs and industrialists. Former MLA of Potka Sanatan Majhi has been made president of the association. He also claimed to have send a proposal in this connection to the Tata Steel MD and Jharkhand government citing the problem for tribal industrialists and firms in taking part in the tender process, lacunaes in the system, negligible presence of tribals in the share of business and the policy would make it mandatory for all companies to implement it.
He also said that talks are on with Xavier Institute of Management to provide training to tribal entrepreneurs and help in marketing and arranging finances for their business.
