Ranchi, Oct 18: The Jharkhand High Court has expressed dissatisfaction with the operational procedures of Ranchi Police and has directed the Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to personally submit an affidavit. This directive came in response to a petition filed by Advocate Clerk Subodh Kumar, who alleged a robbery incident on September 29.
In the petition, Subodh Kumar revealed that, following the robbery, he applied for an FIR at the Dhurva police station, but the request went unaddressed. Subodh Kumar had also brought the matter to the attention of the SSP, but no action was taken. Consequently, Subodh filed a petition in the High Court, seeking a court order instructing the Ranchi Police to register an FIR.
The matter was heard by Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi of the Jharkhand High Court, with representation from Advocate Suraj Kumar Verma. The High Court is scheduled to revisit this case on November 7.
