News Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and called for fixing responsibility following the tragic attack on Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip, where 500 people lost their lives.
Earlier, a powerful explosion rocked a hospital in Gaza City, where many wounded individuals and Palestinians seeking refuge were located. According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, the blast resulted in the tragic deaths of hundreds of people.
Hamas attributed the incident to an Israeli airstrike, while the Israeli military placed blame on a misfired rocket by Palestinian militants belonging to other factions. The Ministry of Health reported a death toll of at least 500 people.
The situation in Israel remains dire, with both Israelis and Americans falling victim to Hamas attacks. Additionally, American citizens are being held hostage in Gaza, intensifying the gravity of the crisis. The visit holds immense significance for Israel, with extensive preparations and a large turnout of supporters awaiting Biden’s arrival.

The recent conflict, initiated by Hamas terrorists on October 7, resulted in a devastating loss of life, with at least 1,400 casualties in Israel. The Israeli counterattack in Gaza claimed the lives of approximately 3,000 individuals. Among the tragic incidents was a missile strike on Gaza’s Al Ahli Hospital, resulting in the deaths of 500 people. The responsibility for this attack remains disputed, as the Palestinian administration claims hospital deaths, while Israel attributes them to a failed missile test by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Organization, firmly denying direct involvement.

Biden had originally planned to meet with Arab heads of state during his visit to Jordan but postponed this plan following the attack on Gaza hospital. The international community, including Egypt and many other nations, mourned the tragic incident. Israeli authorities have presented evidence to the United States regarding the attack.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, Biden’s comprehensive plan may face obstacles. His intentions include addressing the hostage situation and engaging with Arab nations to assist the citizens of Gaza. The issue of the Gaza attack is expected to be a focal point of discussions between Biden and Netanyahu.
While Biden unequivocally supports Israel, he also condemned the hospital attack. The attribution of blame remains contentious, with Hamas blaming Israel and Israel holding the Islamic Jihad responsible. Furthermore, the visit aims to send a clear message to Iran: the United States stands with Israel and is prepared to respond if Iran becomes involved.
