Jamshedpur, June 8: Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday said that the State government needs to take steps to create employment opportunities for migrant labourers, who are returning to their home State following the spread of coronavirus.
Addressing a press meet at his residence in Agrico, Das said that the State Government should inform whether a policy has been framed to provide employment to the migrants who have returned to Jharkhand. He said that the number of corona infected patients in the state is constantly increasing and the government should work more vigorously.
Das added that there is a lack of will power in the State government. The government should make concrete decisions. The people should not be confused by just making statements.
The former CM said that during his government, a policy was prepared to boost employment opportunities in 15-16 areas including textiles. The present ruling government should also invite investors in various areas. Das said that for this, he has also written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in this regard.
Das appreciated the Modi government’s tenure in the Centre. He said that the Modi government at the Union has succeeded in every test during its first year of second term. During Modi�s tenure, work was done to eradicate corruption. Issue of Kashmir has been solved under the able leadership of Modi.
In case of private schools of the State, he said that the State Government must come up with some packages for private schools so that they can pay their teachers and staff.
