Jamshedpur, Nov 5: State Health Minister and Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta Saturday announced that an inter-state bus terminus with modern facilities would be constructed in the city in the coming days. The city would also get a flyover which would solve all traffic related woes of the people, he said.

Speaking to scribes at the Circuit House, Gupta said a host of development projects worth around Rs 1000 crore would be inaugurated in the city very soon. The projects would include MGM Hospital’s new building near Dimna Chowk, new post-office, park, walking path, plus two government schools, new health centres and several other civic amenities, he said.

The Minister said the old dilapidated building of MGM Hospital would be replaced by a new 500 bed capacity hospital. State Cabinet has approved a fund of Rs 396.69 crore for this purpose. Regarding traffic jams in Mango, he said several steps were taken recently to solve the issue to a great extent. “Roads were repaired and widened and the bigger bridge at Mango was also repaired. Mango roundabout was reconstructed. Now a flyover would be constructed here which would solve the traffic jam problem of Mango permanently,” he said.

Gupta said the city people would get more employment opportunities after the construction of the inter-state bus terminus. The flyover project is expected to cost Rs 496 crore. Cabinet approval would soon be taken for it, he said, adding that the project would be implemented in the next two and a half year.

Gupta said development projects would take some time to get completed and thanked the people of the city for their support.
