Jamshedpur’s Manav Ghosh to represent Jharkhand at Red Fort Independence Day ceremony

Jamshedpur, Aug 13: Youth social worker and NSS volunteer Manav Ghosh from Jamshedpur has been invited by India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as a special guest for the Independence Day celebrations at New Delhi’s Red Fort on August 15, 2025. He is the only representative selected from Jharkhand.

An NSS volunteer from Karim City College under Kolhan University, Ghosh was chosen for his outstanding social service and participation in national campaigns during 2023–24, including “Swachhata Hi Seva”, “Mere Bharat Ke Saath Diwali” and road safety initiatives.

“This is a proud moment for me to represent Jharkhand. It inspires me to work with even greater dedication towards social service,” Ghosh said.

Karim City College Principal Dr Mohammed Riaz, NSS programme officer Dr Ale Ali and state NSS coordinator Syed Sajid Parvez congratulated him, calling the achievement an inspiration for the entire state.
