Jamshedpur, Aug 13: Students from Jamshedpur Women’s University, affiliated with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organised a spirited ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally on Tuesday under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations. Beginning from the Bistupur campus, the rally moved through nearby areas before returning to the university grounds.
Carrying the national tricolour, the students encouraged residents to join the campaign and also distributed flags across university departments. Their message was clear: the tricolour is not just a flag, but a symbol of India’s unity, pride and sacrifice.
NSS coordinator Dr Gloria Poorti, programme officer Dr D. Pushpalata and Dr Chhaganlal Agarwal praised the dedication of the volunteers. The event aimed to strengthen patriotic sentiment in the hearts of citizens ahead of Independence Day.
