Jamshedpur: Sushil Agarwal, the newly appointed President of the Zila Agarwal Sammelan, has filed a formal complaint at Sitaramdera Police Station after receiving death threats following his nomination. Agarwal, a resident of Sitaramdera, believes the threats are linked to a community dispute over his appointment.
In his letter to the Officer-in-Charge at Sitaramdera Police Station, Agarwal explained that he was nominated as the District President by the National President of the Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Sammelan on November 18, 2024. His nomination, published in the organization’s monthly magazine, seemingly triggered the threats.
Agarwal detailed two threatening incidents: “The first threat came on December 15, 2024, at 3:30 pm from mobile number 9534028090, and the second on December 22, 2024, at 10:30 pm from number 6299104412,” he reported.
Fearful for his safety and his family’s well-being, Agarwal expressed, “I am extremely scared and mentally harassed. My family and I fear something untoward may happen.” He has urged the police to take immediate action to ensure the safety of his family and business.
