Jamshedpur: Chandan Chess Academy (Sonari) launched its five-day Summer Chess Coaching Camp on Sunday in the Circuit House Area, Bistupur. The camp will run from May 18 to May 22, 2026.
FIDE Master and International Chess Player Vatsal Singhania inaugurated the opening ceremony. The academy felicitated him with a memento and a shawl. Singhania encouraged the participants to excel in their academics and future chess tournaments to achieve top ratings.
Chandan kumar Prasad, Head Chess Coach and International Arbiter, is training the 15 children participating this year across two distinct sessions. Over the five-day program, Coach Prasad will teach the children the intricate nuances of the game. After a chess quiz competition, the organizers will award trophies and certificates to the winning participants on the final day.
