Jamshedpur, Feb 7: A tragic road accident took the life of 24-year-old Akash Mukherjee, a resident of Telco N-32, near Hurlung under Birsanagar police station. He was riding his Bullet motorcycle with his friend Amandeep Singh when the bike skidded, leading to serious injuries. Akash was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Akash, son of Sandeep Mukherjee, a teacher at Telco LFS School, had celebrated his birthday on Wednesday. He had gone to Barabanki with Amandeep for the celebration and met with the accident while returning. Amandeep Singh is currently undergoing treatment at Tata Motors Hospital. Akash had recently completed his graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi and was set to leave for Pune for further studies in a month and a half. The Birsanagar police station has sent the body for postmortem, leaving Akash’s family inconsolable.
