Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) has obtained 2 (f) status from University Grants Commission (UGC). This was announced on Monday by the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anjila Gupta who chaired the third Syndicate meeting of the university at Bistupur campus. The VC congratulated the Registrar Dr Avinash Kumar Singh and Finance Officer Dr Javed Ahmed on taking charge.
In her address, the VC said JWU would now be able to become a member of the Association of Indian Universities and get international exposure as a recognized Indian institution and sign MoU with international organizations. JWU would also get 12 (B) status from UGC, she said.
