Voting time, block for each round announced
Jamshedpur, May 2: District Election Officer and East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, has directed Sub-Divisional Officer / all the Returning Officers / Block Development Officer / Circle Officer and in-charge of the police station. Permission will be given for two vehicles each and four vehicles for the candidate of Zilla Parishad constituency only by the concerned returning officer for the panchayat polls.
The vehicle for which permission will be given for campaigning will be done in the same area and not in another constituency. No vehicle shall be used by any other supporter or person other than the candidate or his election agent on the day of poll. The candidates of the territorial constituency (Ward Member) will not be authorized to campaign in any type of mechanized vehicle in their constituency nor will any vehicle be used by them on the day of polling. Permit of the said vehicles will be done by the concerned Returning Officer according to the rules, on which the election permit will be printed and will be displayed on the mirror of the vehicle.
Permission for assembly, procession and sound amplifier will be given by the concerned sub-divisional officer after obtaining a report from the police station.
The expenditure limit fixed for different posts in the ensuing panchayat polls has been fixed. For territorial constituency of member gram panchayat – Rs.14,000, head of gram panchayat – Rs.85,000, regional constituency of member panchayat samiti – Rs.71,000 and the territorial constituency of the member Zilla Parishad – Rs 2,14,000.
The District Election Officer (Panchayat) has directed all the Returning Officers, Sub-Divisional Officers, Station House Officers to comply with the directions of the Commission in the light of Section 3 of the Defacement of Property Act 1987.
“Any body who defaces any property in public view by writing with chalk, paint or any other material except for the purpose of indicating the name address of the owner / occupier of such property shall be deemed to have committee offence under this Act and he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extends to six months or with fine, which may extend to one thousand rupees or both.
In the light of the instructions mentioned in Rule 122 of Jharkhand Panchayat Election Rules – 2001, 48 hours before the end of the poll, any kind of election meeting, procession, campaign etc. will be prohibited. The details are as follows

Voting date and time- 14.05.2022 between 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Campaign end date and time-12.05.2022 until 3:00 pm
In second round:
Name of blocks: Dhalbhumgarh, Chakulia, Baharagora
Voting date and time-19.05.2022 between 7.00 AM to 3:00 PM
Campaign last date and time- 17.05.2022 until 3:00 pm
Third round:
Block Names – Bodam, Patamda, Potka
Voting date and time – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Campaign last date time- until 3:00 pm
Fourth round
Name of block: Golmuri cum Jugsalai
Voting date and time
27.05.2022 between 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Promotion end date and time
