Jamshedpur: Two thieves arrested, 25 bicycles recovered

Jamshedpur, Feb 13: Sakchi police arrested two members of bicycle thieves here on Monday and recovered 25 bicycles on their information. Those arrested were identified as Ashok Sharma, resident of Hudco, Telco, and Sunil Purty, resident of Beldih Basti, Bistupur.

Police said the accused persons were caught when they were trying to sell a stolen bicycle near Aam Bagan, Sakchi. They said they had got a tip-off about the accused duo. During interrogation, the accused persons reportedly confessed their involvement in theft of bicycles. They said they had stolen over 100 bicycles. They used to sell each bicycle for Rs 2000, police said.
