Traffic Restrictions in Jamshedpur: Civil Services Exam on Sunday

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration has announced special traffic regulations across the city for Sunday to ensure smooth movement for candidates appearing in the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination.

Under the new directive, authorities will strictly prohibit the entry and movement of all heavy and commercial vehicles—including trucks, trailers, and dumpers—within city limits from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM. This measure aims to prevent congestion near examination centers and help aspirants reach their venues on time.

Officials emphasized that these restrictions serve as a precautionary step to maintain order and eliminate traffic snarls during exam hours. To minimize public inconvenience, the administration has exempted buses from the ban, allowing public transport services to operate normally.

The administration urged vehicle operators to follow the guidelines strictly and use alternative routes where necessary. Traffic police personnel will take positions at key intersections and near examination venues to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure a seamless day for commuters and candidates alike.
