Jamshedpur, Mar 20: The reported theft of lakhs of rupees from Afsar Ali’s house in Hayat Nagar, Ulidih OP area of Mango, was found to be false during a police investigation.

When police questioned the family members, their statements kept changing, raising suspicion. Upon further interrogation, the truth emerged—Afsar Ali’s wife had been secretly selling jewelry since 2021. She was sending the money to her maternal home while also using some funds for her husband’s medical treatment.

The accumulated value of the jewelry sold was in lakhs, but Afsar Ali was completely unaware of these transactions. Currently, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police.
