Jamshedpur, May 24:  In a significant development, a quarter occupied by Congress leader Shibu Singh and his family, located near the old court in the Sakchi police station area, has been vacated.

The quarter, belonging to Tata Steel, had been under their possession for several years. Shibu Singh’s father had been an employee of Tata Steel and had recently retired after serving the company for many years.

Despite retirement, the quarter had not been vacated, and it was reported that a Congress office was also being operated from the premises.

In response, Tata Steel had filed a case to reclaim the quarter. In a favorable decision for Tata Steel, the court ruled in its favor leading to the eviction of the quarter with the assistance of the authorities amid protests.
