Jamshedpur Sikh youths embark on Sri Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage by road

Jamshedpur, May 24:  A group of 15 enthusiastic youths from Jamshedpur embarked on a sacred pilgrimage to Sri Hemkunt Sahib, undertaking a journey by road on Wednesday. Organized by the Khalsa Seva Dal, the group, riding in four-wheelers, plans to return on May 31. In addition to Hemkunt Sahib, the team intends to visit other significant Gurdwaras, including Paonta Sahib.

Amarpal Singh, a member of Khalsa Seva Dal, expressed his excitement about the pilgrimage and the opportunity to visit revered Sikh shrines. He highlighted the importance of the spiritual journey and the devotion of the group towards their faith.

The group setting off on this religious expedition included Manpreet Singh Manni, Amarpal Singh, Sunny Singh Bariyar, Harpreet Singh Aman, Gurvinder Singh Kaku, Jaskaran Singh Randhawa, Upkar Singh Bantu, Satpal Singh Raju, Baldeep Singh Lamba, Jaspal Singh, Rahul Budhraja Sonu, Narendrapal Singh Marwah, Samarjeet Singh Marwah, and Rajveer Singh Marwah. The pilgrimage to Hemkunt Sahib holds immense significance for Sikhs worldwide, as it is believed to be the place where Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, meditated in his previous life. The serene surroundings of the Hemkunt Sahib Gurdwara, nestled amidst the Himalayan mountains, attract thousands of devotees seeking spiritual solace.
