Jamshedpur Police Arrest Two for Liquor Shop Thefts in Sidgora

Jamshedpur: Sidgora Police dismantled a theft ring targeting local businesses this week, arresting two men linked to a series of break-ins at liquor shops in Vidyapati Nagar and Sidgora Bazaar. Utilizing CCTV footage, the police carried out a raid near the Sidgora–Birsanagar border, apprehending the suspects and recovering stolen cash, ending a spree that had put local shopkeepers on edge.

According to police, CCTV footage from the shops played a crucial role in identifying the culprits. Acting on a tip-off received on February 6 about two suspicious youths roaming near the Sidgora–Birsanagar border, police teams conducted a raid with the help of Tiger Mobile and PCR units. The accused were arrested near Ghora Mandir Road behind Manipal Hospital.

They were identified as Kartik Lohar alias Chepa (23) and Hrithik Pal (25). During interrogation, both confessed to committing thefts at liquor shops and admitted involvement in similar crimes in other police station areas. Police records show that cases are already registered against them at Sakchi and Kadma police stations. Both have been sent to judicial custody.
