Jamshedpur’s Rajiv Talwar Named National Secretary of Jesuit Alumni Association

Jamshedpur: Rajiv Talwar, senior vice president, Loyola Alumni Association, Jamshedpur, has been nominated as the National Secretary of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI) for the 2026–2029 term. Announced at the conclusion of the 11th National JAAI Conference in Goa, the elevation of the Loyola Alumni Association’s Senior Vice President marks a historic milestone for Jamshedpur’s local chapter on the national stage.

Talwar’s nomination is being viewed as a recognition of the strong value system, commitment to service, and leadership ethos nurtured by the Loyola family. Alumni members described the moment as a collective honour that reflects the enduring spirit and credibility of the Loyola Alumni Association at the national level.

The Jesuit Alumni Association of India is a vast national network representing more than 250 Jesuit schools, 58 university colleges, 28 technical institutions, and 16 business colleges across the country. With Talwar’s elevation to a key national position, Loyola Alumni Association, Jamshedpur, has strengthened its connection with the broader Jesuit alumni mission across India. The association also acknowledged the continuous guidance and support of its Principal and President, Father Vinod Fernandes, in achieving this milestone.

Adding to the celebrations, Team Loyola Alumni Association, Jamshedpur, was conferred the Supporting Spirit Award at the national conference. The honour recognises the association’s unity, service-oriented approach, and active contribution to Jesuit alumni initiatives.
