Jamshedpur, June 25: Motilal Nehru Public School organised an exhibition, Scienceporium, based on research projects undertaken by students as part of their summer holiday assignment. Students from classes III to X displayed their project ideas on Saturday at the school campus.
The main aim of the exhibition was to explore and encourage thinking about global issues, unravel their talent, develop awareness about climate change and provoke analysis and thinking among children. It is the school’s endeavour to encourage an understanding of the role of science and technology to meet the needs of society.

The chief guest on the occasion, S P Mahalik, principal of Jamshedpur Workers’ College, encouraged the students to explore further in all fields. The exhibition featured 75 models from the Primary Department and about 40 models from senior students.
The exhibits were not evaluated this year as the school considers every child a winner. After COVID, the challenging task of staying confined at home and carrying out research was not easy for a generation that was mostly glued to TV and technology. The students showcased static and working models.

Ashu Tiwary, principal, MNPS said that the students showcased their creativity and innovation using eco-friendly materials. Several positive comments were received from the visitors. The experience was enriching for one and all.
Members of the school’s managing committee, along with parents, were present in large numbers.
